Special recognition of Terry Wilke for his years of service to Lake County.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Terry Wilke has served on the Lake County Board representing District 16 and as a Forest Preserves Commissioner since 2008; and
WHEREAS, Terry Wilke served District 16, representing portions of Round Lake and Round Lake Beach, with priority of fiscal responsibility, the economy, job creation, and transparency and communication within government; and
WHEREAS, as a County Board Member, Terry Wilke served on several committees, including most recently the Chair of the Energy and Environment Committee, and the Chair of the Planning Committee and Vice Chair of the Rules Committee for the Lake County Forest Preserves Board. He also served as a member of the Financial and Administrative, Rules, and Public Works, Planning and Transportation Committees; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure, he also served on the Preservation Foundation of the Lake County Forest Preserves, Vice Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and was a member of the Ethics and Oversight, Law and Judicial, Diversity and Inclusion, and Revenue, Records and Legislation Committees; and
WHEREAS, some initiatives Terry Wilke is most proud of are the Net Zero 2040 Resolution and the work of the Energy and Environment Committee; and
WHEREAS, Terry Wilke will continue to serve the greater Round Lake community through his charity, Avon Cares, that feeds over 17,000 people a year; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RECOGNIZED, that this County Board of Lake County, Illinois offers its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Terry Wilke for his years of outstanding and dedicated public service to his community and to the residents of Lake County; and
BE IT FURTHER RECOGNIZED, that the County Board offers its best wishes to Terry Wilke in all of his future endeavors.
