RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Action (WIOA) Dislocated Worker Grant funding modification of $158,190.19 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and,
WHEREAS, The WIOA Dislocated Worker Grant addresses coronavirus impacts to Lake County and will allow twelve additional individuals to be served for the program timeframe of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation to allocate $158,190.19 funds into the Workforce Development Department’s county fiscal year 2022 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $158,190.19 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that The WIOA Dislocated Worker Grant Modification, be accepted.
