RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice has awarded the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court $20,000 to support the work of the Court’s Self-Represented Litigant (SRL) Coordinator and program for the grant period of August 1, 2022 through July 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the funding will be used to support the continuation of an early resolution program, incentivize the eviction mediation services, and the continued development of the website with an available chat feature; and
WHEREAS, the County Board must authorize an emergency appropriation of $20,000 to implement this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County Board authorizes an emergency appropriation with offsetting revenue in the amount of $20,000, to support the work of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court’s Self-Represented Litigant (SRL) Coordinator for the grant period of August 1, 2022 through July 31, 2023.
