Ratification of Heluna Health/ARISE - Activating Relationships in Illinois for Systemic Equity (ARISE) - $35,000.00 - Pfister

Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) received through Heluna Health/ARISE, subgrantee funding of $35,000.00. The period of performance is July 19, 2022, to May 19, 2023. The purpose of the funding is to support socio-economically disadvantaged and historically marginalized communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. The ARISE collaboration will work to improve the mental, physical, social, and spiritual health and well-being of communities experiencing equity gaps in the context of COVID-19; address underlying vital community conditions such as access to meaningful work and wealth, humane housing, and reliable transportation; address root causes of health inequities such as racism and an inequitable economy; and building civic capacity and infrastructure for long-term systemic change. This will offset existing staff salary and fringe.

To ratify and approve the ARISE subgrantee funding from Heluna Health/ARISE and emergency appropriation of $35,000.00 for LCFY22.
