Provider Collaboration
• Dr. Alvia Sabahat and Dr. Alvaro Encinas, our Regional Medical Directors, have resigned effective August 31, 2022, and October 28, 2022, respectively.
• The leadership position of Regional Medical Director will be replaced by the creation of lead provider positions.
• Recruitment is underway for advanced practice providers and primary care physicians.
• Recruitment for a lead provider in Women’s Health continues.
Operations
• Attached is the LCHD/CHC Dental Summary Report demonstrating the rate of compliance for critical dental measures.
External Relations
• Rosalind Franklin University podiatrists want to expand their services to our patients at our Zion and Midlakes clinics.
Regulatory
• Continuous readiness preparation to ensure regulatory compliance is ongoing.
Psychiatry/MAT
Provider Collaboration
• No updates.
Clinic Operations
• No significant FQHC-related changes in clinical operations. Most services continue to be provided using phone or video, though face-to-face appointments are available every day.
• The Behavioral Health Medical Director position is posted.
External Relations
• Nothing new to report.
Regulatory
• No updates.
Dental
Provider Relations
• Our Zion location will be offering dental hygiene services beginning in September. We plan to staff the site with a dental hygienist two days per week.
• We recently hired a new dental assistant for our Midlakes location and their start date was August 29, 2022.
• Our Grand Avenue location will add a second dental assistant in mid-September. This position was filled by an internal candidate.
• We anticipate our North Chicago office to return to full time operations on October 3, 2022, as the full-time provider who covers that site will be returning from FMLA.
• Dental currently has no open provider positions.
Operations
• A six-month dental grant report was sent to The Delta Dental Foundation.
• The most recent data for the dental grant was an August outreach that includes 135 pediatric outreach calls and 12 pediatric appointments.
External Relations
• Nothing new to report.
Regulatory
• The Lead Dental assistant will soon be scheduling site visits to aid the department in compliance issues. We developed a compliance check list in conjunction with our compliance team and our infection preventionist. This checklist will aid in our continuous readiness for The Joint Commission site visit.
