R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Winchester Road, County Highway 69, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the State of Illinois believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the traveling public if the intersection of Winchester Road and Illinois Route 83 could be improved with the addition of turn lanes and a new traffic signal, and designated as Section 16-00170-13-CH; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the State of Illinois are desirous of entering into an agreement to utilize State funds to reimburse the County for up to 50 percent of the construction costs associated with the improvements, setting forth the terms and obligations of each agency, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized, and hereby directed, to execute an agreement, and any subsequent amendments, pertaining to this Winchester Road at Illinois Route 83 intersection improvement project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer shall transmit, in writing, the final agreement, and any amendments, to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
