Illinois Environmental Protection Agency - Solid Waste Enforcement Contract Increase - Mackey

Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) received additional funding in the amount of $5,850.00 through an amendment to the existing intergovernmental agreement with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). The period of performance is July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. The existing agreement will continue to support the solid waste management site inspection and enforcement program, which regulates 24 operating solid waste facilities (including 2 active landfills) and 22 closed landfills. The amendment adds 39 inspections of historical Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) sites, which will be conducted every five years. The new funds will offset existing staff salary and fringe benefits.

To approve the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency additional funding and emergency appropriate $5,850.00 for LCFY22.
