Resolution amending the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Health Insurance rate structure.
Staff Summary
• On February 8, 2022, the County Board approved a resolution authorizing the execution of the contract and by-laws of the Intergovernmental Personnel Benefit Cooperative (IPBC) and Lake County membership in the IPBC.
• Based on the cost savings produced from joining the Cooperative, County Administration and the Human Resources Department worked in tandem to apply a portion of the savings to employee premiums.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department worked with County Administration to pass on a portion of the savings the County’s membership to the IPBC would produce; and
WHEREAS, beginning July 1, 2022, employee premiums will decrease based on cost savings membership to the IPBC provided the County; and
WHEREAS, in order to add clarity for employees and staff responsible for implementing this action, the July 1, 2022, Rate Sheet is attached to this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the County’s health insurance plan for July 1, 2022, as outlined in Rate Sheet, is hereby approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that the July 1, 2022 Rate Sheet be shared with employees.
