Title
2022 Model Practice Award - Pfister
Body
Lake County Health Department’s application, Impact of Test To Stay on Transmission of SARS-CoV2 in K-12 schools, Lake County, Illinois, was selected as a Model Practice by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). NACCHO informed us that our application went through a rigorous peer-evaluation process over the past few months by NACCHO’s Workgroup members and our program demonstrated exemplary and replicable initiative in response to a local public health need and reflects the strength of the positive impact local health departments have our communities.
As a Model Practice winner, we will receive one complimentary registration to attend, live or virtually, the NACCHO 360 Conference in Atlanta, GA, July 19-21, 2022. The Awards Reception will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
Model Practice winners are also invited to showcase their projects via a three- to five-minute video presentation featured in the NACCHO 360 Conference Model Practices gallery. This is a great opportunity to share our work with our peers.
In addition, our award-winning program has been selected for presentation during a special live session at the NACCHO 360 Conference. “2022 Award Winning Best Practices from Local Health Departments” will feature presentations from the “best of the best” Model and Innovative Practice winners using a four- to five-minute TED Talk-style format followed by a live Q&A and is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
