RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a PY 2021 WIOA funding modification of $139,211 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Grant includes funding for programs serving unemployed adults, dislocated workers, incumbent workers, high school students and opportunity youth for the program timeframe July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation to allocate $139,211 funds into the Workforce Development Department’s county fiscal year 2022 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant modification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $139,211 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA PY 2021 Formula Grant Modification, be accepted.
