Staff Summary

•                     The 19^th Judicial Circuit Court was awarded grant funding from the Supreme Court of Illinois Court Technology Modernization Program to provide services benefiting the court, court users and justice partners.

•                     The contract will provide an upgrade to the existing audio, video and integrate with courtroom AV requirements supporting in-person or hybrid proceedings in twenty-seven (27) of the older courtrooms.

•                     Purchasing identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Conference Technologies Inc., Itasca, Illinois through TIPS to procure services to upgrade existing audio-video and integrate with courtroom AV requirements supporting in-person or hybrid proceedings in the older courtrooms.

•                     This contract will cost the County an estimated amount of $694,251.54.

•                     In accordance with Section 33.115 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Joint Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement with Conference Technologies, Inc.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the 19^th Judicial Circuit Court was awarded grant funding from the Supreme Court of Illinois Court Technology Modernization Program to provide services benefiting the court, court users and justice partners; and

WHEREAS, the contract will provide an upgrade to the existing audio, video and integrate with courtroom AV requirements supporting in-person or hybrid proceedings in twenty-seven (27) of the older courtrooms; and

WHEREAS, purchasing identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Conference Technologies In., Itasca, Illinois through TIPS to procure services to upgrade existing audio-video and integrate with courtroom AV requirements supporting in-person or hybrid proceedings in the older courtrooms; and

WHEREAS, this contract will cost the County an estimated amount of $694,251.54; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 33.115 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement with Conference Technologies, Inc.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Conference Technologies, Inc. of Itasca, Illinois to upgrade existing audio-video and integrate with courtroom AV requirements supporting in-person or hybrid proceedings in the older courtrooms in an estimated amount of $694,251.54.
