R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the resurfacing of Gages Lake Road, from US Route 45 to Illinois Route 21, which will be improved under the Illinois Highway Code for a total of 3.15 miles, and designated as Section 20-00999-78-RS; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bid, sealed bids were received and opened on March 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:

Lake Bluff, Illinois
$1,781,075.60
Payne and Dolan, Inc.
Antioch, Illinois
$2,266,702.52
WHEREAS, the Public Works, Planning and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer, and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Peter Baker and Son Company, Lake Bluff, Illinois, their bid being $1,781,075.60 based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is required.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that a contract be awarded to said Peter Baker...
