Ratification of Illinois Department of Health and Family Services - $74,000 - Additional Medicaid Match Funds Approval - Nordstrom

Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) received, and on December 15, 2021, the Board of Health Executive Committee approved, Medicaid Match payments from the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services in the amounts of $4,989,497.23 for eligible services under the Federally Qualified Health Center and $64,563.94 for Family Case Management services. The total of these funds is $5,054,061.17 which exceeds our FY21 budget amount of $2,590,365. The total of the payments received in excess of our FY21 budget equals $2,463,696.
We have an organizational need to purchase a Learning Management System to manage and maintain compliance for staff training and education requirements. The amount requested to be appropriated for this software purchase from the excess Medicaid Match funds is $74,000. This amount will be requested to carry over in FY22.
Suggested Motion
To ratify the approved emergency appropriation in the amount of $74,000 from unbudgeted funds received from the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services in LCFY21 for the procurement of a Learning Management System.
