Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) received, and on December 15, 2021, the Board of Health Executive Committee approved, Illinois Department of Human Services replacement and additional funding for Crisis Staffing services which was funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services until June 30, 2021. Additionally, the grant has expanded crisis services by funding mobile crisis assessment to all of Lake County. The grant funding amount is $1,906,759 and the new program income funding is $389,225 for the period July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. The grant amount to be appropriated in LCFY21 is $1,478,117 due to Crisis Staffing services already accounted for in the LCFY21 and LCFY22 budget. The new program income amount to be appropriated is $389,225. We will carryover both grant and program income funds from LCFY21 to LCFY22. This will continue to fund staff, supplies, contractual services, additional program items and will expand staffing by 31 positions.
Suggested Motion
To ratify the approved Illinois Department of Human Services replacement, additional and new grant funding of $1,906,759 and new program income funding of $389,225 and emergency appropriation of $1,478,117 grant funds and $389,225 program income funds for LCFY21.
