WHEREAS, there is a need to enter into a contract with a qualified professional who offer reliable Deceased Body Removal and Transportation Services for Lake County Coroner’s office; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 33.036 Procedures, B. Public Notice of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, proposals were called for by publication for Deceased Body Removal and Transportation Services for the Lake County Coroner’s Office; and
WHEREAS, an electronic bid was received from one vendor and publicly opened on November 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the base bid was awarded based on the unit price of a single person removal within Lake County and unit prices were provided for additional services relevant to the contract; and

WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the bid; the staff evaluated the bid submitted and determined that the bid submitted by Compassion Funeral Service, McHenry, Illinois, in the amount of $120,000 is the lowest responsible and responsive bidder for Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Compassion Funeral Service, McHenry, Illinois, for Deceased Body Removal and Transportation Services in the estimated annual amount of $120,000.
