RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County (County), by and through its Division of Transportation, maintains and operates, through Lake County PASSAGE, traffic signals on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove (Village) operates, and has jurisdiction over, certain traffic control signals within its corporate boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the Village has requested to participate in the County's Annual Traffic Signal Maintenance Contract; and
WHEREAS, the effective maintenance of Village-owned traffic control signals through Lake County's Annual Traffic Signal Maintenance Contract, as well as the operation of Village-owned traffic control signals through Lake County PASSAGE is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the Village and the County as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the County and the Village are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions for energy, maintenance, and future costs of Village-owned traffic control devices and interconnection with Lake County PASSAGE, a draft copy of said agreement is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, be authorized, and they are hereby directed to execute a master agreement, and any subsequent amendments thereto, with the Village stating ...
