Staff Summary
• Through cooperation with all departments and agencies as well as the Standing Committees and Financial and Administrative Committee, the FY 2022 Budget is presented for approval.
• The operating funds that provide the funding for most governmental operations are balanced.
• This budget reflects all budget actions as approved by Standing Committees and the Financial and Administrative Committee as well as the amendments approved by the Financial and Administrative Committee on November 4, 2021.
• The entire budget is available on the County’s website at www.lakecountyil.gov.

ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, a recommended budget including amendments (as attached) for FY2022 has been developed and presented by the County Administrator, all in accordance with the budget policies previously adopted by this County Board; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the County Board to adopt an annual budget and appropriation in accordance with State of Illinois Law; and
WHEREAS, the proposed FY2022 budget, inclusive of all revenues and expenses, including the Tax Year 2021 Tax Levy to be collected during FY2022, has been reviewed and acted upon by the Standing Committees of the County Board; and
WHEREAS, the recommended FY2022 Budget has been made conveniently available for public inspection for at least fifteen days prior to adoption by posting in the Office of the County Clerk and on the County website at www.lakecountyil.gov.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that
1. The FY2022 Recommended Annual Budget and Appropriation for Lake County Illinois, for FY2022 was brought before the Finance and Administrative Committee, with the first such presentation occurring October 26, 2021; and
2. That the FY2022 recommended Annual Budget and Appropriation for Lake County, Illinois, for Fiscal Year 2021 - F2022, as attached hereto and made part of, is hereby approved.
