Staff Summary
• The WIOA formula grant funds for the PY 2021 beginning July 1, 2021 have been allocated to Lake County for a total grant of $5,070,538,
• The WIOA PY 2021 formula grant has a grant life from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023 and will be appropriated in the County Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Budget.
• The annual WIOA formula grant is used for Workforce Development Department and the Job Center personnel and operations and programs serving unemployed adults, dislocated workers, incumbent workers, and high school students and opportunity youth.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a PY 2021 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funding notice totaling $5,070,538 to the Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Grant includes funding for programs serving unemployed adults, dislocated workers, incumbent workers, high school students and opportunity youth; and
WHEREAS, the WIOA Grant has a grant life of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the WIOA PY 2021 Formula Grant is hereby accepted.
