Staff Summary
* During the Facilities Capital Improvement Plan process (in Fiscal Year 2021), the Board provided direction for Staff to initiate a Facilities Master Plan project.
* The Facilities Master Plan will review departmental level staffing needs and space requirements, projected staffing needs, use and organization of spaces, adjacencies and efficiencies with other departments, and will provide recommendations on future capital development with rough order of magnitude cost estimates.
* In accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, a firm may be selected directly by the County based on a prior satisfactory relationship; the recommended consultant is Schmidt Associates.
* This resolution authorizes the execution of an agreement with Schmidt Associates, of Indianapolis, Indiana, in an estimated amount of $324,425.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, as part of Capital Improvement Plan, the Facilities Master Plan project was approved; and
WHEREAS, The Facilities Master Plan will review departmental level staffing needs and space requirements, projected staffing needs, use and organization of spaces, adjacencies and efficiencies with other departments, and will provide recommendations on future capital development with rough order of magnitude cost estimates; and
WHEREAS, Lake County has selected Schmidt Associates, in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of Lake County, an agreement, and any amendments, between Schmidt Associates in the estimated amount of $324,425 for Lake County Facilities Master Plan services.
