R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, in order to provide for a comprehensive and coordinated system of water and wastewater capital improvements, it is necessary to undertake a multi-year approach to the planning of said improvements; and

WHEREAS, the Lake County Department of Public Works annually prepares an updated five-year Capital Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, said Capital Improvement Program is a planning document and is therefore intended as a guide for future improvements and is subject to modification; and

WHEREAS, the Interim Director of Public Works and Department of Public Works staff have prepared the Proposed 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, Department of Public Works staff presented the Proposed 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program to the Public Works, Planning and Transportation Committee on September 8, 2021; and

WHEREAS, the Proposed 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program aligns with the County Board Strategic Plan adopted in July 2019, and includes the following Strategic Goals: Improve Infrastructure and Promote a Sustainable Environment.
