RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided WIOA Dislocated Worker Grant totaling $156,454 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, this funding covers training expenses for incumbent workers in the manufacturing sector for the program period of June 1, 2021 through December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $156,454 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s county Fiscal Year 2021 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $156,454 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA Dislocated Worker Grant be accepted.
