RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Chair of the Lake County Board has determined that a Special Committee on COVID-19 Pandemic Recovery and Investment should be established; and
WHEREAS, the Special Committee on COVID-19 Pandemic Recovery and Investment will report to the Financial and Administrative Committee; and
WHEREAS, the specific purpose of this Special Committee on COVID-19 Pandemic Recovery and Investment is to:
Provide timely policy guidance and strategic priorities to the County Administrator for the planning and execution of the various federal COVID-19 response funds provided to Lake County (American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Federal Emergency Rental Assistance, etc.);
Recommend a budget to the County Board for the federal COVID-19 response funds provided to Lake County ensuring all appropriations are in accordance with federal regulations;
Provide oversight to ensure compliance with policy and guidance for all expenditures of federal COVID-19 response funds provided to Lake County; and;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section V.J. of the County Board Rules of Order and Operational Procedures, appointments to a Special Committee shall be recommended by the County Board Chair with the approval of a majority of the Board Members present.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that a Special Committee on COVID-19 Pandemic Recovery and Investment reporting to the Financial and Administrative Committee is hereby established with the following members:
