Provider Collaboration
* The three new pediatricians started July 19, 2021 and their orientation will continue for the next 8-12 weeks.
* The candidate for the Regional Medical Director position has accepted the Health Department's offer and the anticipated start date is August 30, 2021.
* Once our new primary care providers complete their orientation, our clinics will be fully staffed.
Operations
* An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) opening in Women's Health has been filled by our School-Based Health Center (SBHC) provider, Shannon Trocki. Recruitment of a replacement provider at the SBHC has been initiated.
* Focus of Patients: Attached to this report is a graph of where our patients reside. While our patients live in many locations throughout the county, most live in zip code 60085 (Waukegan), 60073 (Round Lake) and 60099 (Zion).
External Relations
* The LCHD/CHC Medical Director has been granted privileges at Vista Hospital and awaits privileges at Advocate Condell and Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest. These privileges will enable better tracking and coordination of care with patients seen in the ED or who are hospitalized.
Regulatory
* The HRSA site review occurred August 3-5, 2021. Leadership and staff were very diligent in preparing for this survey.

Clinic Operations
* No significant FQHC-related changes in clinical operations. Most services continue to be provided using telephone or video encounters.
* The search for a Behavioral Health Medical Director continues.

* The Midlakes Health Center has an opening for a Dental Assistant, recruitment efforts are ongoing.
* Currently, there are no vacant provider slots within the dental department.
