Staff Summary
* The County Board, at its November 14, 2017 meeting, approved an appropriation of $430,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds and a consultant engineering agreement with Christopher B. Burke Engineering Ltd., Rosemont, Illinois, in the amount of $357,756.52, for Phase II design engineering services for the intersection improvements at Wadsworth Road at Dilleys Road and Wadsworth Road at Kilbourne Road.
* Change Order Number One is required to expand the Phase II design engineering scope of work to include the resurfacing of Kilbourne Road, from Wadsworth Road to Illinois Route 173, and supplemental engineering design to complete the construction of the roundabout at Wadsworth Road at Dilleys Road.
* Change orders need to be approved by standing committees for cumulative net increases over 10 percent.
* The sum of all contract change orders to date is $213,946.54, which represents a 59.8 percent increase over the original awarded contract amount.
* This project is included in the Transportation Improvement Program and designated as Section 17-00999-47-EG.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Wadsworth Road, County Highway 17, Dilleys Road, County Highway 15, and Kilbourne Road, County Highway 37, are designated routes on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the traveling public if the intersection of Wadsworth Road at Dilleys Road and Wadsworth Road at Kilbourne Road could be improved; and

WHEREAS, the County Board, at its meeting of November 14, 2017, approved an appropriation of $430,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for Phase II design engineering services for the Wads...
