• The northwest portion of the Winchester House Site contains fiberoptic cabling which ties both Lake County Public Works and the Department of Transportation into the County’s Network. This segment of infrastructure must be bypassed to execute the demolition of Winchester House that is pending County Board Approval. scope of services.
• The Department of Facilities and Construction Services has designed a bypass in coordination with stakeholders and requires certain computer hardware to enable a cut over.
• Facilities identified a cooperative purchasing contract with CDW Government of Chicago, Illinois, through Omnia Partners to procure the required equipment in the amount of $36,603.09 that was competitively solicited and awarded.
• Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Winchester House Demolition has been approved as part of the 2021 Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, Libertyville Campus departmental operations must continue un-impeded during this demolition, including all network and communication related systems; and
WHEREAS, Facilities identified a cooperative purchasing contract with CDW Government of Chicago, Illinois, through Omnia Partners to procure the required equipment that was competitively solicited and awarded; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered between the participants; and
WHEREAS, the current term of the Omnia Partners contract expires on February 28, 2023; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into an agreement, with CDW Government, Chicago, IL for network hardware and electronics as required to bypass Winchester House in amount of $36,603.09.
