Staff Summary
• There was a need to provide a mass vaccination site to the residents of Lake County in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
• A location owned by the City of Waukegan was identified for the use of the mass vaccination site.
• Under the terms of the agreement, the use of the premises will extend through July 31, 2021 unless terminated earlier by written agreement. There will be no rental cost associated with the use of the premises.
• This action ratifies the Intergovernmental Agreement the County Board Chair authorized under emergency authority.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, there was a need to provide a mass vaccination site to the residents of Lake County in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, a site owned by the City of Waukegan was identified for the use of the mass vaccination site; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the agreement, the use of the premises will extend through July 31, 2021 unless terminated earlier by written agreement and mutual consensus by all parties; and
WHEREAS, all parties have agreed that there are no rental payments associated for the use of the site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Lake County Board ratifies the intergovernmental agreement the County Board Chair previously authorized under emergency authority with the City of Waukegan for the use of a mass vaccination site in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
