RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Teamsters Local 700, has been recognized as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for certain employees in the Lake County Facilities Operations Division, and
WHEREAS, negotiations between the County Board, Sheriff and the Teamsters on a successor collective bargaining agreement went on for almost four years; and
WHEREAS, the parties were at impasse and an Arbitration Panel was selected to resolve the outstanding issues; and
WHEREAS, the Arbitration Panel delivered their decision on the open issues and the parties are bound by their decision; and
WHEREAS, the parties have updated the collective bargaining agreement to reflect; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this the County Board of Lake County, that the Madam Chair of the Board is hereby authorized to sign the Collective Bargaining Agreement attached hereto and make a part of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Agreement shall be effective from December 1, 2016 through November 30, 2020 consistent with the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act 5ILCS 315/21.
