Annual Approval of Illinois Department of Public Health, Family Planning Program Educational Materials - Burke

The attached documents are for review and approval. The brochures were last reviewed at the Council’s October 13, 2020 meeting, where questions/concerns were raised regarding why all of the FQHC sites were not included in the list of service sites on the back of some of the brochures, and the opportunity to use more bias-free inclusive language throughout. The decision was made to postpone this item until the November 10, 2020 meeting in order to provide staff sufficient time to look in to and make any allowable and/or necessary changes. As a result, all FQHC sites, with the exception of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), were added to the majority of the brochures. All of the brochures have been re-reviewed for opportunities to use more bias-free inclusive language and changes made where necessary.
Upon approval, the brochures will be professionally printed for distribution. Brochures are made available in the FQHC Sites. This annual review of educational materials is completed to meet Illinois Department of Public Health, Family Planning Program grant requirements.
