Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS), $141,697 increase to Williams Consent Decree Drop-In grant and $50,000 in new grant funding for Community Mental Health Centers CRSS 812 - Grant Approval - Johnson-Maurello

 

Body

The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) received a Williams Consent Decree Drop-In grant increase in the amount of $141,697 for the time period, July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. The amount requested to be appropriated in LCFY20 is $59,040. The difference has been accounted for in the LCFY21 budget. This will fund a new Peer Support Specialist, supplies and contractual services.

 

LCHD/CHC has received a new Community Mental Health Centers CRSS 812 grant in the amount of $50,000 for the time period, August 1, 2020 to December 30, 2020. This will fund two new Crisis Counselor II positions for five months and then the DHS Crisis Staffing grant will fund the positions until June 30, 2021. The Crisis Staffing grant increase was approved by the Board of Health on September 23, 2020.

 

Suggested Motion

To approve the Illinois Department of Human Services increase and new grant funding of $191,697 and emergency appropriate $109,040 for LCFY20.
