Staff Summary
* The existing commercial structure located on the Robert McClory Bike Path right-of-way is immediately adjacent to the bike path.
* After the structure is removed, the right-of-way will be returned to green space as part of a separate project that will be constructed in 2021. This project will enhance the experience of Robert McClory Bike Path users, improving safety, visibility, and aesthetics in the area north of Grand Avenue.
* A total of five bids were received, ranging from $21,647.50 to $97,250, and the lowest responsible bidder is KLF Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $21,647.50.
* This project is included in the Transportation Improvement Program with work planned to be completed in 2020, and designated as Section 20-00173-17-BD.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the demolition of the commercial structure on the Robert McClory Bike Path right-of-way north of Grand Avenue in Waukegan, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication calling for said bid, sealed bids were received and opened on September 15, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:
