RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided WIOA National Dislocated Worker Disaster Employment Grant totaling $298,011 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and,
WHEREAS this funding covers expenses for disaster relief opportunities related to coronavirus impact; and
WHEREAS, this grant is for the program period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $298,011 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s county Fiscal Year 2020 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $298,011 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIA National Emergency Disaster Employment Grant be accepted.
