RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Lake County Clerk's Office applied for the Federal CARES Act Grant funds (CFDA: 90.404) from the Illinois State Board of Elections which will reimburse qualified election related expenses due to the pandemic in FY2 021 up to $831,572.91; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Clerk's Office purchased 595 free standing sneeze guards with custom pass through for all election sites; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to the Counties Code, Chapter 55 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (55 ILCS 5/3-2003.2) the County Clerk has the authority to control the internal operations of his or her office and to procure the necessary equipment, materials and services to perform the duties of the Office; and
