SAMHSA Grants to Benefit Homeless Individuals, Additional $10,000 - Grant Approval - Johnson-Maurello

The Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) is in the third year, September 30, 2020 to September 29, 2021, of a Grants to Benefit Homeless Individuals (GBHI) grant funded through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). LCHD/CHC initially requested $400,000 and was notified that it had been awarded an additional $10,000 for each remaining year raising the total grant award to $410,000 for the budget period. The amount requested to be appropriated in LCFY20 is $1,667. The difference has been accounted for in the LCFY21 budget. The additional funding will be used to continue to fund Counselor/Case Manager.
Suggested Motion
To approve the SAMHSA to Benefit Homeless Individuals additional grant funding of $10,000 and emergency appropriate $1,667 for LCFY20.
