Physical Health
Provider Collaboration
* Offers were made to two physicians for the open provider positions at Midlakes Health Center and North Chicago Health Center.
* We continue to recruit for one other physician position for the Midlakes Health Center.

Clinic Operations
* Adult flu vaccine has arrived, and immunizations have begun. We are still waiting to receive pediatric flu vaccine.
* Dimitry Petion, Director of Physical Health, resigned his position with the Health Department effective August 20, 2020.
* Effective August 29, 2020, Kim Burke, Director of Healthcare Operations, will assume leadership responsibilities for all of the FQHC operations. Kim has been with LCHD/CHC for the last 6+ years, most recently leading key areas in our Revenue Cycle including the Medical Staff Office, Patient Access Center, Referral Specialists, BH Utilization Management, Managed Care Contracting and Health Information Management. Kim will continue to co-lead Revenue Cycle activities along with managing the FQHC Operations (which continues to include PAC, Referral Specialists, Managed Care Contracting, etc.). Before joining LCHD/CHC, Kim held positions that included Practice Management, Hospital Administration and Managed Care/Insurance Administration.

External Relations
* Medical care for the homeless (PADS) patients in their current housing situation began on August 25, 2020.

Regulatory
* Preparation for The Joint Commission visit is ongoing. The focus in August was emergency response.

Psychiatry - MAT
Provider Collaboration
* Behavioral Health Medical Director, Dr. Joshua Nathan, is resigning from the Health Department. His last day is September 4, 2020. Plans are under way to identify an Interim Behavioral Health Medical Director and a psychiatric resident supervisor to cover Dr. Nathan's responsibilities.

Clinic Operations
* No significant FQHC-related changes.

External Relations
* Nothing new to report.
