• Citrix Workspace currently provides secure remote access to Lake County.
• The current contract is set to expire in September and a renewal is required.
• Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods, services or professional services with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants.
• A cooperative purchasing contract with CDWG has been identified through the National Intergovernmental Purchasing Alliance (NIPA) to procure needed goods, services or professional services that have been competitively solicited and awarded.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods, services or professional services with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants; and
WHEREAS, a cooperative purchasing contract has been identified with CDWG, Vernon Hills, Illinois, through the NIPA to procure Citrix licenses; and
WHEREAS, Lake County desires to enter into a contract for Citrix workspace licenses to continue the license and maintenance service; and
WHEREAS, Citrix Server Licenses is required to connect remote vendors and the public with secure connectivity to internal systems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with CDWG, Vernon Hills, Illinois, for Citrix Workspace Licenses in an amount of $51,705 charged to 101-1300020-71230.
