ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, Lake County has 415 voting precincts in 18 Townships; and
WHEREAS, due to the current pandemic several established polling places are unable to support election day voting; and
WHEREAS, the County Clerk has relocated polling places for 25 precincts in Lake County for the November 2020 General Election; and
WHEREAS, voters in Libertyville Township precincts 175, 181, and 201 assigned to Lambs Farm Magnolia Café, 14245 W. Rockland Road, Green Oaks, Illinois 60048, will now vote at Lake Shore Harley-Davidson, 14000 W. Rockland Rd.,
Libertyville, Illinois 60048; and
WHEREAS, voters in Libertyville Township precincts 193, 194, and 200 previously assigned to vote at Spring Meadows, 901 Florsheim Drive, Libertyville, Illinois 60048, will now vote at Copeland Manor School, 810 7th St., Libertyville, Illinois 60048; and
WHEREAS, voters in Libertyville Township precincts 195 assigned White Deer Run Golf Club, 250 W Greggs Pkwy., Vernon Hills will now vote at Community Protestant Church, 418 N. Prairie Ave., Mundelein 60060; and
WHEREAS, voters in Waukegan Township precincts 376 and 379 assigned to vote at Kukla Towers, 1440 Jackson Street, North Chicago, Illinois 60064, will now vote at North Chicago Community High School, 1717 17th St., North Chicago 60064: and
WHEREAS, voters in Waukegan Township precincts 343, 344 and 345 assigned to vote at Iglesia Episcopal Nuestra Señora De Guadalupe, Waukegan, Illinois 60085, will now vote at H.R. McCall Elementary School, 3215 N. McAree Rd., Waukegan, Illinois 60085; and
WHEREAS, voters in Moraine Township precincts 211, 215, 218, 219 and 220 assigned to vote at Highland Park Police Station, 1677 Old Deerfield Rd., Highland Park, Illinois 60035, will now vote at Red Oak School, 530 Red Oak Lane, Highland Park 60035; and
WHEREAS, voters in Moraine Township precincts 212, 213, 214, 216, and 217 assigned to vote at Immaculate Conception Parish, 770 Deerfield Road, Highland Park, Illinois 60035, will now vote at Edgewood Middle School, 929 Edgewood Road, Highland Park 60035; and
WHEREAS, voters in West Deerfield Township precincts 388 and 391 assigned to Congregation B’Nai Tikvah, 1158 Wilmot Road, Deerfield, Illinois 60015 will now vote at Caruso Junior High School, 1801 Montgomery Rd., Deerfield, Illinois 60015; and
WHEREAS, voters in Lake Villa Township precincts 145 and 155 previously assigned to vote at Cedar Village, 310 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Lake Villa, Illinois 60046, will now vote at Peter J. Palombi Middle School, 133 McKinley Ave., Lake Villa Illinois 60046; and
WHEREAS, as the Lake County Clerk continues to monitor the situation, further reassignment of polling sites may be warranted.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, the attached Exhibit A sets forth the affected precincts by township name and precinct number. Previous voting site locations and new voting site locations are identified by name and address.
