• Pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County received funding from the United States Government pursuant to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act in the amount of approximately $122,000,000 specifically for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to install air sanitizing systems in seven elevators to filter and disinfect the air contaminants away from the inside of our public elevators cabs and four escalator handrail sanitizing systems; and
WHEREAS, Purchasing identified a cooperative purchasing contract with Thyssenkrupp Elevator through the United States Communities Government Purchasing Alliance to procure elevator maintenance and repairs that was competitively solicited and awarded; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, Cooperative Purchasing, Lake County may participate in a cooperative purchasing agreement for the procurement of goods with one or more public procurement units in accordance with an agreement entered into between the participants
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a contract with Thyssenkrupp Elevator, for the purchase of air sanitizing systems to be installed in seven elevators to filter and disinfect the air contaminants away from the inside of our public elevators cabs and four escalator handrail sanitizing system in an estimated amount of $101,754.
