RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Office of the Illinois Attorney General has approved the continuation of the State's Attorney’s Violent Crime Victims Assistance Program, and $35,000 was awarded for the time period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds of $35,000 for this program will supplement the salary of a full time DV Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, funds have already been appropriated in the CFY2020 budget for this Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that the Lake County State's Attorney's Violent Crime Victims Assistance Program with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General is hereby authorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all costs associated with this Coordinator position are already appropriated in the State’s Attorney’s approved CFY2020 budget in accounts 101-3314010-51110, 51240, 74080, 74100,74110, with offsetting revenue in the amount of $35,000 budgeted in account 101-3314010-45333; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State’s Attorney shall serve as project director for the program, and accurate records of all necessary grant compliance requirements shall be kept by the State's Attorney's Office; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the Board, the Lake County State's Attorney, and the Lake County Treasurer are hereby authorized to execute the necessary documentation in order to accept the grant renewal.
