RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided WIOA National Dislocated Worker Disaster Recovery Grant totaling $1,233,650 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and,
WHEREAS this funding covers expenses for disaster relief opportunities related to COVID-19 impact; and
WHEREAS, this grant is for the program period of June 1, 2020 through March 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $1,233,650 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s county fiscal year 2020 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $1,233,650 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA National Dislocated Worker Grant Disaster Recovery Grant be accepted.
