RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County needs traditional phone lines, in its buildings for various systems and equipment communication to perform its operations; and
WHEREAS, Lake County currently has approximately 160 centrex lines, 205 plain old telephone service lines (POTS), 29 low bauds, and three additional circuits with Call One; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 10-101 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the County Purchasing Division has identified a competitively solicited and awarded cooperative purchasing contract for traditional phone lines awarded to Call One, Chicago, Illinois, through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative joint purchasing contract Number 188;
WHEREAS, in moving these services to the joint purchasing contract rates with Call One will decrease Lake County monthly costs for both POTS and Centrex lines; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into an agreement with Call One, Chicago, Illinois, for the purchase of traditional phone lines in an estimated annual amount of $478,500.
