R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the property designated by pin number 06-05-201-051-055 has been identified as a priority to transfer to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) by quitclaim deed and temporary easement under the Local Government Property Transfer Act; and

WHEREAS, the County-owned property containing approximately 0.379 acres; is located within the Village of Lake Villa municipal boundary; and

WHEREAS, the County-owned property, which was acquired in 2018 and is not needed for current or future transportation improvements by the Lake County Division of Transportation, will be appropriately utilized by IDOT for highway purposes; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the 765 ILCS 5/16, the County Board may authorize its County Board Chair to convey real estate belonging to it; and

WHEREAS, the Local Government Property Transfer Act, 50 ILCS 605/0.01 et. seq. authorizes units of local government to agree to transfer land between said units of local government; and
