Resolution renaming existing roadways in the area commonly known as Timberlake Estates and Meadowhill Subdivisions in unincorporated Cuba and Wauconda Townships.
Staff Summary
• This is the last phase of the County’s dual addressing program.
• It is desirous to rename the roads in this area to better facilitate address administration, reduce confusion for first responders, and improve overall wayfinding by establishing unique and non-repetitive road names.
• Agency coordination has been ongoing and includes the local Homeowners Association’s (HOA’s), emergency services, and the Post Office.
• The public notification process will begin upon approval by the County Board.
• The name changes are anticipated to take place by July 1, 2020.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in the interest of improved address administration and at the request of public safety agencies, the following road name changes are required in the area commonly known as the Timberlake Estates and Meadowhill Subdivisions, as depicted on the attached map; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Chief County Assessment Office, has researched the roadway name residents presently utilize and recommends and supports above said changes; and
WHEREAS, the road name changes will reduce confusion for responding emergency services by establishing unique and non-repetitive road names; and
WHEREAS, Lake County has the power and authority to change the name of said streets by virtue of 55 ILCS 5/5-1067.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following changes in road names be made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief County Assessor, in cooperation with Lake County GIS, is hereby authorized and directed to notify the landowners adjacent to said roadways, Cuba Township Road District, the Wauconda Township Road District, the County Engineer, the County Treasurer’s Office, the County Recorder of Deeds, the County Clerk, the Illinois Department of Transportation, the United States Post Office, School Districts, Emergency Response Personnel, and others deemed necessary, of said name changes.
