Joint committee action item approving Change Order Number Three consisting of an increase of $21,883 to the Phase II engineering consultant agreement for the widening and resurfacing of Illinois Route 120, from Knight Avenue to Illinois Route 131.

 

Staff Summary

                     Change Orders need to be approved by the standing committees for cumulative net increases over 10 percent.

                     Illinois Route 120 (Knight Avenue to Illinois Route 131) widening and resurfacing project is under contract with Patrick Engineering Inc., Lisle, Illinois, in the amount of $319,389.96 as approved by the County Board on November 11, 2015, and designated as Section 12-00999-31-WR.

                     Additional engineering services are necessary for several revisions to the original scope of work as detailed in the attached Supplement Number Three.

                     Change Order Number Three includes revisions to the plans required as a result of coordination with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to accommodate their upcoming projects in the area as well as new IDOT permit plan requirements.

                     Change Order Number Two corrected an accounting error in the original contract document.

                     Change Order Number One included work to cover plan and plat revisions that resulted from ROW negotiations with adjacent property owner.
