Staff Summary

•                     Lake County desires to enter into a contract with BP&T Co., Mount Prospect, Illinois for the Greggs Landing Painting Project.

•                     There is a need to apply a cementitious crystalline waterproofing to the four interior walls of the 600,000-gallon inground water reservoir at Greggs Landing.

•                     An invitation to bid was issued and extended to 27 qualified vendors and sealed bids were received from three vendors, ranging from $65,800 to $74,000.

•                     BP&T Co. was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the needs of the County in an estimated amount of $65,800, based upon unit pricing.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, there is a need to apply a cementitious crystalline waterproofing to the four interior walls of the 600,000-gallon inground water reservoir at Greggs Landing; and

WHEREAS, the County has competitively sourced a vendor to provide these services through a public bid process; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 33.036 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, a bid was called for by publication for the Greggs Landing Painting Project; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent be authorized to enter into the contract with BP&T Co., Mount Prospect, Illinois, for the Greggs Landing Painting Project in an estimated amount of $65,800, based upon unit pricing.
