RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for prime food and dairy for the Hulse Detention Center; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, an Invitation to Bid was extended to eight vendors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from one vendor; and opened in the Lake County Purchasing Dept, Waukegan, Illinois on February 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, based on the criteria set forth in the Invitation to Bid; the staff evaluated the bid submitted and determined that Gordon Food Service, Kenosha, Wisconsin is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Gordon Food Service Kenosha, Wisconsin, for the purchase of prime food and dairy for the Hulse Detention Center in the estimated annual amount of $100,000 charged to fund 216 (Hulse Detention Center), Food and Provisions accounts.
