Staff Summary
• As part of the Fiscal Year 2020 budget processes, funding was appropriated for rehabilitation of the Lake County parking garage.
• This contract will provide construction administration services for the structural aspects of the rehabilitation of the Lake County parking garage.
• This project will replace failing asphalt and concrete, repair leaking drainpipes and waterproofing joints, provide required structural maintenance, and install new light emitting diode (LED) lighting in the parking garage.
• Implementation will provide renewal of County infrastructure and promote energy efficiency and industry best practices.
• In accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, a firm may be selected directly by the County based on a prior satisfactory relationship and the recommended consultant is CTL Group.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County wishes to provide for the repair and restoration of its assets; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, recognizes that the repair and rehabilitation of the Lake County parking garage provides continued life for County infrastructure and is in alignment with industry best practices; and
WHEREAS, CTL Group is familiar with this structure via prior work; and
WHEREAS, Lake County has selected CTL Group in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act, 50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the Purchasing Agent is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of Lake County, an agreement and any amendments, between CTL Group in in the amount of $73,000 for construction administration services for the Lake County parking garage.
