R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board and the Newport Township Road District Highway Commissioner, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for resurfacing and patching in Newport Township Road District, and designated as Section 20-11000-00-GM; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication and calling for said bids, sealed bids were received and opened on March 17, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois, a tabulation of said bids being as follows:

$187,450.56
WHEREAS, the Public Works, Planning and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Peter Baker and Son Company, Lake Bluff, Illinois, their bid being $175,899.42, based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that a contract be awarded to said Peter Baker and Son Company, Lake Bluff, Illinois, in accordance with their bid of $175,899.42, based on estimated quantities and unit prices, and that the Purchasing Agent, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County be authorized and they are hereby directed to enter into a contract with said low bidder for the r...
