* This project is included in the highway improvement program and designated as Section 19-00999-69-TL and State Job Number C-91-149-20 with work beginning in 2020.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if all LCDOT owned traffic signals were fitted with snow proof visors; and
WHEREAS, IDOT and LCDOT are desirous of entering into an agreement for the County's share of the above proposed improvement, a draft copy of which is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, IDOT, using Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant funds, will reimburse LCDOT up to $616,275 of the materials and labor costs; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is required.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized, and directed to execute on behalf of Lake County, an agreement, and any subsequent amendments thereto, pertaining to the financing of the above-named improvement.
