R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) will participate in the County’s joint procurement process for the acquisition of ice control salt for the 2020-2021 winter season; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that 19,000 tons of ice control salt will be required for the 2020-2021 winter season; and
WHEREAS, before a letting can be held, an appropriation of funds is required.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that there is hereby appropriated $1,722,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the acquisition of ice control salt for the 2020-2021 winter season by said joint procurement, and designated as Section 21-00000-05-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the “Agreement of Understanding” between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated May 3, 2018.
