PY2020 Affordable Housing Application Round Presentation, Deliberations and Allocations - Discussion and Recommendation
Staff Summary
• The Affordable Housing Advisory and Recommendation Committee (ARC) is responsible for making housing-related funding allocation recommendations for the 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership and Lake County Affordable Housing Program (LCAHP) funding round.
• Agencies will present proposed housing projects and proven housing programs as follows: A Safe Place transitional housing (vision stage); Catholic Charities Rapid Rehousing; Collaborative Community Housing Initiative (vision stage); Community Partners for Affordable Housing (community land trust, downpayment assistance, owner-occupied rehab, scattered site rental, and senior housing); DeBruler Mundelein Senior Apartments; Independence Center (vision stage); Mano a Mano (vision stage); Nicasa (vision stage); Urban Muslim Minority Alliance (UMMA); Waukegan Housing Authority and City of Zion. The vision stage proposals are a result of the Call for Five-Year Strategic Projects.
• Recommendations are forwarded for consideration and approval to the Housing & Community Development Commission (HCDC).
